We have such a variety of almonds
here at Superior Nut Store, and there are many things you can do with them. Of course, you can just snack on the almonds if you’re looking for something very quick and tasty. If you have a bit more time on your hands, you might want to try at your hand at this easy recipe that uses sliced almonds. These almond bars are sure to be a hit with your friends and family!
Tasty almond bars
What you will need:
12 graham crackers
1 cup sliced almonds
¾ cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 10x15 inch jelly roll pan. After you’ve done that, you’re ready to begin making your delicious treat with almonds.
Break the graham crackers up into four pieces and arrange them so that they’re touching on the bottom of the jelly roll pan. Sprinkle the sliced almonds over the crackers. Once you have the base ready, you can melt butter in a small saucepan. Once the butter has melted, stir in the brown sugar and vanilla extract until it is smooth. Remove it from the heat. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the graham crackers and almonds in the pan.
Bake the bars in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Keep an eye on the almond bars while they’re baking so that the edges don’t burn. Cut the almond bars while they’re still warm and remove them from the pan. If the bars are stuck in the pan, place the pan into the warm oven for a minute to loosen them up.
We all know the health benefits of almonds. They’re full of antioxidants and other things that are good for us. Since they’re such a healthy snack, we should try to eat a few almonds whenever we get a chance. Baking almonds into delicious bars like these is just one way you can appreciate the health benefits. (It doesn’t hurt that they’re quite delicious, too!)
