    Raw Pine Nuts
By Gail from Idaho on June 27, 2013
I don't remember how the product was advertised but I thought I was ordering Raw Pine Nuts still in the shell and when they arrived, they were shelled. They were very good. Hubby was a bit unhappy because they were not in the shell (half the fun is in the shelling). Delivery time was excellant. Very quick and right on time.
    Pros:
    Tasted very fresh.
    Cons:
I thought I was getting raw pine nuts UNSHELLED but they were already shelled.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

    Best price
By Kay Diehl from Griffin, GA. on July 30, 2012
After reviewing many sites on the internet for pine nuts, I settled on Superior Nut primarily due to price. It is absolutely the best price. I make a great deal of pesto, so need pine nuts and I don't want to go broke just because I grow basil. The product arrived very fresh and is excellent in taste.

    Pros:
    Tasty and fresh!

I would recommend this item to a friend.

    excellent pine nuts
By Janis from Iowa on February 9, 2012
Actually, pine nuts are part of my cockatoo's diet (although some do stray into my diet-yum!) He goes through alot of pine nuts so I need an economical source but since a cockatoo can live 40-70 yrs with proper care, I need to make sure I'm getting high quality. I was very happy with these pinenuts - they are large, clean and fresh. I received them just 4 days after ordering so I am very happy with the shipping. Thanks from Janis and Dickens the cockatoo!

Loved these delicous nuts....no shells to deal with (or pay for!) Really, really good flavor, very nutty, buttery flavor. The service was extremely fast and I can't imagine anything bad to say about the company or product!
    Pros:
    Everything!
    Cons:
We eat them too fast....do you have and "endless bag" by chance?!!

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Pine Nuts are always good quality, they come in 1 # resealable thick plastic bags that prevent freezer burn, and no problems with other nut contamination in probably a dozen or more orders. Excellent product and service.

I also ordered your sun dried tomatoes. I used to buy both at Wal-Mart. They discontinued these items in hopes that I would purchase their more expensive, jar brand. They sent me to you. LOL!

Good for much more than making pesto. For starters, a pine nut is not a nut. It’s actually the seed from a pine cone. Pine nuts do offer the same cardioprotective benefits as nuts, including high levels of monounsaturated fat, arginine, magnesium, and potassium. They may even aid in weight loss. Pine nuts contain the two chemicals endogenous cholecystokinin (CCK) and glucagon like peptide-1 (GLP-1). In a study conducted by the University of Liverpool researchers found consumers of a pine nut oil supplement not only felt full sooner but it further suppressed their appetite.

For those interested in an outstanding value on a wonderfully fresh, top-quality superfood, we offer our Grade A Raw Pine Nuts (also known as pignolias) in an economical 10-pound case lot. Simply by dedicating a corner of your refrigerator to pignolia storage, you can now enjoy all the good taste and good health that these delightful seeds add to your life, for a good long while! Pine nuts can be one of the building blocks of a healthy, nutritionally balanced diet, as they’re loaded with “complete” protein—meaning that, unlike other seeds and nuts, these delicious morsels deliver all nine of the amino acids your body needs to thrive!

Pine nuts’ delicate fresh flavor—light and nutty, with a velvety butter-like finish—comes from their exceptionally high oil content. These natural oils contain a major dose of beneficial monounsaturated fat in the form of oleic acid, for a significant energy boost and lots of support for your heart and circulatory system. A great vitamin and mineral profile simply enhances the pignolia’s value to anyone interested in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. And the fact that they’re so delicious makes it easy to slip a handful or two into your diet every day.

Get ready to savor your own homemade pesto on your next pasta salad, pizza or linguine entree. Fresh spinach with a sprinkling of toasted pine nuts is to die for. Stirred into hummus or rice pilaf, stuffed into peppers or added to baked chicken or fish, pine nuts enhance the flavor of almost any dish. Try them raw, out of the bag, but they’re even better toasted—and it’s so easy! Here’s how to toast pine nuts: Warm a skillet over medium-low heat; add pignolias to form a single layer. Stir frequently to turn (because of the high oil content, they’ll burn if you’re not careful). Once they’ve turned a light golden-brown, pour off into a bowl. And enjoy!

Question: Where do these pine nuts come from?
Answer: The country of origin for these pine nuts is China. We also carry Mediterranean pine nuts.

Question: These pine nuts appear to be shelled in the picture. Are they shelled? Also, I need about 30 lbs. Is there any discount for that?
